Discuss how you feel about being an online student

Anonymity can be good and bad. I like it in the sense that people don’t really know who I am (especially if I mess up!), but I like meeting people and being open. The flexibility isn’t as flexible as I thought when I first started, but I think it is easier for me to do besides going to a compass. I’m o.k. at teaching myself, but I would prefer a little more hands on or assigned work. I don’t seem to do the workbooks on my own or study much if it isn’t required, which could hurt me later down the road. I think sharing pictures helps put a face to the people we are in class with. I think that once we get this blogging thing down we will be able to connect better as well.

  1. You are so young, but you are very smart and have lots of culture experience from living a military life. I have found that this is the only way I can fulfill my lifelong dream of higher education. I am single and have to work to support myself and at times my 25 year old son...he is still sowing his royal oats! Be patient with yourself and don't stop trying to adjust to this environment. It takes time and once you become accustomed to it, you are going to soar! Good luck to you ;)

  2. Hello Jackie,

I would like to see your photo. I am planning to post more photos on my blog as well.

Never hesitate to contact me if you do not understand an assignment or have questions. I hope you can develop a plan to read more of the course materials.
